1. Background
these prices are valid until 01.10.08 except destinations (Ex: Senegal)
The catalogue prices are subject to change due to the variation of the flight fare or those of the organiser.
The booking of the territory shall become effective after signing the contract and payment of the deposit.
For travel contracts concluded between us, the following conditions should be added to the clauses.

Definition of organizer
we work in partnership with a local organization for all the territories.
Either it is the administration of the territory or professional hunters who own a concession that lead our clients on the ground according to the contract.
Reclamation should be done in writing to the tour leader (see paragraph "complaint").

A hunting trip is not comparable to a regular leisure trip. There is a need, within reason to understand that any break down on of the 4x4 while hunting can occur and repairs can sometimes take several days due to the remoteness of the territory ( i.e.: Asia, North America, Africa ).
Hunting schedule
when we organize a trip we make sure the animal is present at the chosen territory. We make no warranties as to the results, which is conditioned by:
1) the luck.
2) The hunter’s physical conditions.
3) The shooting abilities, target range up to 300 m.
4) the passion and constancy of the hunter in search of game.
5) The weather conditions.
In this regard, wind, rain or fogs are unfavourable conditions. Similarly, abundant snowfall can make the travel impossible. Not all of these drawbacks can be planned.
Therefore, no result is guaranteed.
3. Reservation conditions and Administration’s fee
the contract required by the customer is the basis of the reservation and execution of formalities hunting trip.

- the travel conditions
- the special travel conditions
Administration’s Fee:
For the Eastern European countries:
per hunter € 150
per accompanist € 80
for other destinations:
per hunter € 185

For groups
When the recording and accounting of a trip relate to a group of hunters and possibly accompanying persons, a single contract is established on the behalf of the group leader, registration fees are calculated as follows:
For the first hunter 200 €
For additional hunter 55 €
For the first accompanist 100 €
for additional accompanist 25 €
For all destinations
Costs for program change after Registration: 30 €
A fee of 55 € is charged for a last minute booking we received less than 12 days before departure (the postmark date as proof), and for unpaid instalments that are credited to our account under 12 working days prior to departure.
The person signing the contract is the payment guarantor for the whole group.
The fees are to help balance the costs associated with the preparation of a dossier. These fees are payable even in the event of cancellation for whatever reason.
4. Terms of Payment
50% of the trip’s cost is payable upon receipt of the contract. The cost of hunting is detailed on the invoice and includes the deduction of instalments. The payment must be made 40 days prior to departure.
The deadlines must be respected otherwise the required travel documents will not be handed over.
The customer shall pay the cancellation fees or any additional costs.
Reservations for some domestic flights, car rentals and other services and the establishment of import licensing of weapons are carried out by our partners and are billed separately. These fees are payable on the spot. Customers must pay in euros or other currencies depending on the country.
By the end of the hunt, if the customer has not paid all slaughter taxes, the territory’s administration sends an invoice and a copy of the protocol to Kettner.
Our services send the customer an invoice for those expenses. This bill is payable immediately without any delay. If not, a penalty equal
1.5 times the legal interest rate is claimed (Art. 3.1 Act 92.1442).
Exchange Rate
If parity of the euro was to change, we would be forced to adjust our prices. This adjustment would replace and override our catalogue.
All prices in this site have been calculated on the basis of the following rates:
US $ 1 = 0.75€
£ 1 = 1.45€
5. Travel Documents
The documents necessary for the journey (voucher, plane ticket) are sent to the client after full payment of the trip.
If the payment is delayed, we cannot guaranty that you will receive those documents in time due to strikes or bank holidays.
6. Termination of the contract by the organiser.
The organizer in the country of destination may terminate the contract without compensation. Because of a war, strike, internal unrest, epidemics, embargoes, requisition of means of transport, natural disasters, extreme weather conditions etc. ...
If your trip should be amended (change in territory, for example), the incremental costs (additional nights at the hotel, change in the flight plan) are at the customer’s expense.
7. Contract cancellation by the client
a trip cancellation is possible at any time and must be made in writing (registered delivery) and justified under the terms of insurance contracts. The most important being the registration’s date.
In case of cancellation the following charges will be applied:
- Administration fee
- weapon’s licensing fee
- Cancellation fees for airline or hotel
- Insurance costs
- Booking fees, if any (advance slaughter’s fee)
- In the event of cancellation between 60 and 40 days before departure date 50% down payment is due.
- In the event of cancellation after the payment of the balance, the full amount is due.
All other cancellation policy that is included in the hunting program of the territory.
Kettner tries to maintain these costs low by negotiating each case with the organizers. Trips are often prepared well in advance and the replacement of a client at a short notice is very difficult if not impossible.
8. Assurances
when assessing your hunting trip, we incorporate a mandatory third party insurance which covers multi-risks and cancellation (see table below).The insurance price is based on the overall cost of the trip.
Unless the customer is already covered by its own insurance.
9. Claim during the hunt
important: If a problem occurs at the beginning of the hunt, the customer must make it very clear to the organiser who is required within reason to do his utmost to resolve the problem and reduce the damage .
If the person responsible for the territory is not able to offer a satisfactory solution, the complaint must be written and French. The description must be understood by all and consistent with the situation. If any item is not clarified regarding his concern, no compensation can be granted.
10. Claims after hunting
In Central Europe countries we write a statement, which must be signed, by the hunter, interpreter and director of the territory.
On this document are the benefits and taxes to pay. It is from this document that KETTNER TRAVEL establishes the final bill.
The client certifies the accuracy of the information recorded on the document. This is particularly true for the weight of the trophy (a decrease Later is not possible), the number of trophies and benefits.
The statement is the inalienable support of all claims. They must be clarified in the document along with the claim for compensation.
If no immediate action is taken in the territory, the complaint must written in French and later signed by the hunter, the guide and interpreter. The interpreter must translate accurately to the Director of territory the exact nature of the claim
For any injured animal not found 50% of the slaughter’s tax estimated by the guide must be paid on the spot (100% in some countries).
In this case, you can ask the territory to continue searching after your departure.
If the trophy is found afterwards you must pay the remaining 50%, and put it in writing whether you want it sent to you or collect it on your next trip.
The 50% of the slaughter’s tax should be paid fully upon presentation of an invoice and not after receiving the trophy at home.
For the formalities, please refer to paragraph "Import and transport trophies."
The missed target and why the contract has not been completed must appear on the record. The statement must notify whether you take the trophy away with you, if not the exportation will not take place afterwards.
11. Other contract conditions.
We will provide you with proof of transportation issued by the airlines on charter flights and regular flights.
In this case we are only responsible as an intermediary not as a provider.
Each hunter is responsible for obtaining documents: passport, visa and other administrative formalities: vaccines, currencies, statement, weapon’s serial number, number of ammunition, etc...
